SHARP-TONGUED
A sharp review of Lauren Sánchez’s iconic dress
5/10Sharp-tongued Critique
Oh dear, this outfit looks like it fell out of a baroque painting and landed awkwardly in a modern runway. The gold and floral pattern is trying so hard to scream opulence that it forgot how to whisper elegance. The off-shoulder neckline appears to be staging a coup against the rest of the dress with its dramatic flair, and it's losing. The fitted silhouette seems more like a straitjacket for someone who needs to escape the 18th century. Those nude heels look like they're trying to tiptoe out of the sartorial disaster without making a scene. The earrings, seemingly plucked straight from a grandma's jewelry box, are just the final nail in this gilded coffin. Overall, it's a royal mess. I'd rate it a dazzling 5 out of 10 for sheer audacity.
